SQUARES – Follow Up

On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Green Bay Packers for the NFC Championship title. Losing my hat was kind of superstitious, but the fact that I’ve had it for almost 20 years broke my heart to have lost it. It fits my head and keeps my ears warm in cold weather.

Water Water Everywhere #51 – Shrimp Boat

Shrimp boat in the St. Mary’s River at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina, Florida. Seagulls and Pelicans were everywhere!

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Long legged Birds

Limpkin with a snail in the beak.

Long-legged birds tend to have a pronounced strut when they walk. Long legs are something I know nothing about since I’m only 5′ 1″ tall. I related much better to the short-legged bird challenge.

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Shorebirds

Shorebirds can be found anywhere there is a water hole. You don’t have to live at the beach or on a lake to see shorebirds. These will include gulls, terns, plovers, sandpipers, egrets, herons and many more.

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Birds with Black Feathers

I understand Halloween is celebrated with vigor in America and not so much in other countries. With that said, Halloween signifies the creepy and scary. Black cats, black birds…black everything!

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – In Your Yard or Garden

Swallow-tailed Kite flying low above our front yard.

All of us are going to have a different variety for this week so I can’t wait to see what everyone else is seeing from their window, front porch, back patio area or wherever you enjoy the likes of our feathered friends near and around your home.

SQUARES – 3 of a Kind

Brown Pelicans in different strides of their flight over my head. I like the use of the negative space in this photo which I don’t use very often. Hope you like it too!

SQUARES – Nature isn’t always Kind

Sea Turtles have many natural predators on land and in the sea. Humans can be unkind without knowing it by traipsing around on top of a nest.

Water Water Everywhere – Low Tide

Little Talbot Island State Park Beach

This is the Atlantic Ocean at Little Talbot Island State Park off of A1A between Jacksonville & Amelia Island, Florida. You can see it was REAL crowded. LOL!

#WordlessWednesday – Osprey

Osprey perched up on top of a piece of driftwood.
