That’s terrible that the beaches are being destroyed by all of the storms. 😒

Yep! Plus there is a controversial break water that was put in 10 years ago to keep the sand from washing away from the rich peoples beaches on Amelia Island. So the state parks are getting destroyed. 🤨

We always take that route home from Florida, not the park but the A1A and the Mayport Ferry

We spend a lot of time out there. We like going to Fort Clinch too. And hanging out in historic Fernandina. Pre-Covid of course. 😊

I love watching the waves at the turn of the tide. Sad to hear about the erosion.

Yeah it’s pretty bad. Every year we lose a little more.

is the erosion because of storms, or just the result of the passage of time, and the break water?

All of the above. The tides are getting higher and the break water shifted everything so Little Talbot Island State Park has suffered the consequences.

I’m sorry to hear that…

It’s still a great beach, but anyone who doesn’t think there aren’t climate issues and global warming are not living it first hand. Look at California and Louisiana. Not to mention Houston. Houston didn’t used to flood like they do now. There are a lot of factors and many are man made causes.

Or just don’t care and are in denial.

Thank you. It’s mine too. I took 1/2 day off from working my Etsy shop today & am replying to you from the beach. 🏖
