SQUARES – Bright Eyes

Osprey enjoy fresh fish. Sometimes from great heights, they will dive to pluck fish out of the water, shake off a bit and fly away in one fluid movement.

SQUARES – Bright Light City

There are seven species of sea turtles on the planet and six of them are on the threatened or endangered list because of humans. Some of the hazards for sea turtles is them getting entangled in fishing gear, the loss of habitat due to coastal development, poaching and ocean pollution including plastic. Song Lyric Sunday – “Where No One Stands Alone”

When I started thinking about infinity and forever, I began wondering where I will go after my life on this earth is over. I certainly believe in a heaven, a place where we can spend eternity and be with our loved ones that have passed before us.

This week Jim Adams has prompted us with choosing a song pertaining to Hop | Jump | Leap | Pounce | Spring for this week’s Song Lyric Sunday. I chose “Spring Breakdown” by Luke Bryan.

Song Lyric Sunday – “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson

Song Lyric Sunday – Short People

The beginning of the song is quite dark in its delivery that “short people got no reason to live”, however if you continue to listen as it goes on, it also states “short people are the same as you and me”.

Song Lyric Sunday – Country Thinking

Country music is close to my heart and this week I give you a good old fashioned drinking song released in 1980 and a fun fantasy song released in 1999. The first is about love that doesn’t exist anymore and the second is about a guy who uses the sex appeal of his tractor to get the girl.

Song Lyric Sunday – “In Color”

The song I chose this week is “In Color” by Jamey Johnson. This song is a tribute to the generation of people that were my grandparents.

Song Lyric Sunday – DJ – Spin Em’

“Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me” made me cry the first time I saw George Michael sing it and introduced Elton John onto the stage. I got chills playing it back and watching it again tonight. It has always been my favorite version. “Jungle Love” was in the normal rotation by the DJ at the E-club in 1984-1985 when I was on base at Camp Lejeune and influenced my jive dancing.
