Water Lilies along the Chesser Island Boardwalk Trail at Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge in Georgia. On our walk to the end where the observation tower overlooks the marsh, these flowers were just beginning to open for the morning. By the time we had spent over an hour at the tower watching for birds and just enjoying the peace, they had opened up for a great photo op on the way back towards the parking area. This was spring in full bloom in April of this year.

I know it is, but at least the leaves provide shade for the fish. π
