Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Brown Feathered Birds

Week #32 challenge is Birds with brown feathers. This can be a splash of brown or brown all over! Many “girl” birds are brown whereas their more colorful boyfriend flashes his “Liberace” colors!

CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – In or on Water

The feature image of a Roseate Spoonbill was taken at Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge a couple of weeks ago.

Water Water Everywhere #60 – Reflection at St. Marks

A couple of weeks ago, Frank & I travelled to the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge near Tallahassee, Florida where we spent 9 hours birding.

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Birds with Butts in the Air

Dabbling ducks is what came to mind when I set this challenge. They frequent ponds and shallow water for tasty vegetation. Among these ducks are American Black Duck, American Wigeon, Blue-winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Gadwall, Green-winged Teal, Mallard, Mottled Duck, Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler and Wood Duck.

SQUARES – Upright

This fishing pole is upright with no fish on the hook. What a beautiful day at the beach! Located at Little Talbot Island State Park in Jacksonville, Florida.

SQUARES – Perched upon the Driftwood

Tweety was in full photography mode while posing upon the driftwood sculpture that Frank had built in one of the flower gardens. Tweety was so photogenic and gave us many days of pleasure photography him.

SQUARES – Up Above the World So High

Our moon is not a little star but it brightens our lives up with each full moon cycle. This was a little more than a 3/4 moon and was stationed perfectly over these palm trees.

SQUARES – Uplifting

As the sun went down, our moods went up! A beautiful sunset over a body of water always does the trick. This fabulous sunset created a euphoria to end a great day of birding at Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

SQUARES – Upside Down

Red-bellied Woodpeckers are so acrobatic they could be in the circus. As they forage around for insects in trees as seen in the top photo captured at St. Marks Wildlife Refuge near Tallahassee, Florida.

SQUARES – Petrified Tree

Looking UP at the famous Petrified Tree at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
