CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – Things on Picnic Table or in a Park

The feature image is the best veggie sandwich on the planet. Fresh Italian bread, cream cheese (instead of mayo), cucumbers, spring mix lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes and avocado. Add a little salt and pepper and viola! YUM YUM! We had a picnic after birding all morning at Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, Georgia.

SQUARES – Looking Down, not Up

We had to climb UP the tower at Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, Georgia to be able to look down at the swampy area in which the 3/4 mile Chesser Island boardwalk takes us.

SQUARES – Two of a Kind

By the time we had spent over an hour at the tower watching for birds and just enjoying the peace, they had opened up for a great photo op on the way back towards the parking area. This was spring in full bloom in April of this year.

SQUARES – The Family Kind

This is the last time I saw my middle child, my oldest daughter before the lockdown. We went to Tampa to celebrate Christmas, only it was New Years. Thank goodness we have FaceTime or I’d not be very kind in my deliver on the way our leaders have handled this pandemic. Anyway, that is Alecia on the right and me on the left. Don’t we look kinda like sisters??? The correct answer would be YES! LOL!

SQUARES – The Yellow Kind

This yellow wildflower was begging to be photographed in Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, Georgia along the Chesser Island boardwalk. It is a small wildflower that seemed kinda windblown but hanging tough!

SQUARES – Perspective – Okefenokee Boardwalk

The Chesser Island Boardwalk is 3/4 of mile long and dead-ends at the 4 story tower.

SQUARES – Perspective – American Alligator

Danger certainly puts things in perspective!

SQUAREs – Perspective – Lunch

This photo was my veggie sandwich made with cream cheese, avocado, carrot, cucumber, spring lettuce and sprouts layered between soft sliced Italian bread. Yum Yum!

Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge – Georgia – WWE

Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge remained open and we made several visits over several weeks which kept us sane (at least a little bit).
