Meet the Cactus Wren who just happens be stalking around a cactus, the prickly kind of plant. I believe this cacti is called teddy bear cholla, scientific name (Cylindropuntia Bigelovii).
This Cactus Wren was a life bird for me on this day, at this moment! More to come on this bird in the Bird Weekly Challenge on October 30th. This bird was photographed in 2016 at the Lake Mead Visitors Center located in Boulder City, Nevada. There are trails outside the building to hike and discover what the desert has to offer.

They are not small at all like other wren species. They are an 8.5″ (18-22 cm) bird.

Thank you Cee! Oh, I should have added FOTD since it was a cactus! My brain is about to explode because I’m spending a great deal of time putting products in my etsy shop before the holidays. Not thinking clearly! π
