I wanted to dedicate this day, May 4, 2020 to the fact that the Florida State Parks are open effective today. This was taken before the lockdown as we travelled for a day trip to Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, Florida.

Good….
Thanks. 😊
Nice video, water can be so calming!
Yes it can unless you are fighting it. 😁
Not many rivers in my area!
YEAH!!!
Well we will see. I’m not convinced there won’t be a spike and it’s all happening too soon. Only time will tell. 😊
Beautiful reflections. 😊
Thank you. 😊
great pictures; looks like alligator territory…
Yep! Everywhere in Florida is gator territory. If there’s a puddle of water, there could be a gator lurking. 😳
I have an irrational fear of alligators, and I want to move to Florida…
They are not too aggressive with people most of the time. Just like snakes, get educated and you will be okay.
you mentioned my other fear – snakes. I guess they fall into the same category. I guess at some point I’ll have to deal with my fears…
Facing your fears is a good thing. How about hurricanes? We have those too. 😳
I’d take a hurricane over an alligator any day…
What happens when the hurricane pushes water up to your house and a gator comes with it in the surge? I’m not helping, am I? 😳
Now I won’t be able to sleep tonight… 🙂
Oh no! I’ve survived over 30 years here. Where do you want to move to? Florida has so much diversity.
we’ve talked about Sarasota…
It’s hot and humid down there but the Gulf Coast beaches are great. I lived in the Tampa area for 21 years. My kids & grandkids are still down there so we travel (not lately) several times a year down there to see them.
Hot and humid is my favorite kind of weather – so that sounds quite appealing!
Then welcome to Florida! 😊
I am looking forward to it, well, except for the alligators…
Let me know when you get here and Frank & I will be glad to escort you to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. It’s safe and you will face your fears. They are similar to snakes. Give them their space and they don’t bother you. A big thing here is don’t feed them because that makes them more aggressive and they will come looking for a hand 🤚🏻out. Okay, pun intended. 😂
I would probably need to take something to calm my nerves before I went to an alligator farm 🙂 But I do like St. Augustine!
Well that would be ok. The lighthouse is right near there. We like to go climb it.
and you’ve got beaches!
Yes we do. I actually prefer the beaches on the east coast along the Atlantic than the west coast along the Gulf of Mexico.
I’ll take either!
I saw a gator today and thought of you. Took a pic and everything.
will the pic make it to your blog, with appropriate warnings? 🙂
Yeah. I told Frank I was going to do a post on gators in your honor and I’ll link your blog. Maybe I’ll put it on my schedule this week. 😊
I’ll keep my eye out for it! 🙂
Nice reflection.
Regards, Teresa

Thank you! 😊
I have always liked reflections in photographs. Well done
Me too! It’s one of my favorite things to photography, besides birds and landscapes and flowers…. 🙂
