Solar Eclipse – Haiku

Moon passes the sun
Birds flock midday in panic
Twilight quickly forms

A moment of calm
Ceasing the day to night time
Darkness overcomes

Moments light return
Unsure chirps, dazed confusion
Life back to normal

The feature image is the total solar eclipse taken in South Carolina in the cone of darkness in August, 2017.

    • Thank you so much. It was exactly what happened too. The birds freaked out! πŸ™‚ I have a better lens now and we are planning on going to Texas in 2024 for the total solar eclipse. I should get even better photos on this next round. πŸ™‚

  1. great shot of the eclipse, and I guess this would confuse birds a bit. But my guess is that they were smart enough not to look directly into it… πŸ™‚
