The next to the last photo from my Sony A6300 was taken on 2-25-2020 on our birding trip to Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. This Gray Catbird was hanging out in the open (not usual) near the end of the 11 mile (17.7 km) driving trail known as Black Point Drive. Not a clear shot and I couldn’t quite get it focused. I took one more last photo of a tree just to check my camera and it was perfect. Sometimes it just works that way. The lighting was terrible where the bird was on one side of the road and the lighting was great on the other side.
The last photo taken on my IPhone was a photo of a photo of my newborn daughter, Kaela from 1992 who was featured in my Song Lyric Sunday yesterday. If you missed it, you can read about the coincidence of her birth here.
In response to Brian at bushboys world “Last Photo” Photo Challenge – January 2021.
Your last photos are so good, just what is wanted to show that you can find an illusive bird and have a cute baby as last shots. Thanks for joining in Lisa 🙂 🙂

Far from the spectrum of one another. I’m multifaceted. LOL! Love participating in this challenge, but I don’t think about it when shooting at the end of the month. 🙂

I hope many people, like us, don’t think about it and can be surprised at what pops up last. My phone camera is always a surprise 🙂

Me too! If I had used the next to the last photo on my phone, it would have been a vinyl decal from a lady’s car window. It was a woman with birds all around with the words, Crazy Bird Lady. That would have gone right along with my theme. I’m going to design it and put it in my shop. LOL!

Yes, I will be making my own version. What was funny, was I see the couple with their big cameras coming up from trail. They were in their 70’s and he gets in on the driver’s side of the car. Maybe the sticker should have said “Crazy Bird Couple”. LOL! ooohhh….great idea! 🙂

The catbird is one of my life birds as I haven’t seen one. They don’t into Idaho very often.

I love them too. Love their black mohawk. One of only a few birds I can distinguish by their call. 🙂

Thank Nora! I think so too, but Mama Bird is always prejudice. I’m glad you liked the song and it was new to you. It is quite special. 🙂
