SQUARES – Up in the Sky

Are you a “down and under” or an “up and over” kind of person? Does it matter to you? It is an OCD moment for me. Before covid, if I was anywhere and the toilet paper was down and under, I’d change it to up and over.

Sunday Stills – Year in REview – 2020

What a challenging year 2020 was in many respects. I began my year with a birding blog on January 5, 2020 called “Today is for the Birds” with great excitement because I had just written my first guest blog with Jacksonville Business Connections through my job titled “Unlock the Bird Lover in You for 2020”. Little did I know that it wouldn’t last.

Sunday Stills – Auburn – 11.15.20

Auburn is a color between red and brown. It can be dark to light with gradients in between. Today I have given you sunsets, birds, an insect, a gator, rock formations in Arizona and a fall classic.

Sunday Stills – Leaves – 11.01.20

Birds fly from the front to the backyard. We have plenty of trees and great cover in the backyard with a fountain and the front yard has the feeders. This week I was able to sneak around the shrubs and get these photos.

Sunday Stills – Backyard Birding – 10.25.20

Sunday Stills – Happy Place – 10.18.20

Frank & I taking a selfie with Trout Lake as our backdrop.

My happy place is being outside in nature with my hubby, Frank! I’m also happy when I’m with my kids and grandkids but haven’t seen 2 of my 3 kids and none of my grandkids since January of this year due to the pandemic. I get to Facetime with them, but that is it. So for this challenge, I will stick to what I do when I can’t be with them physically.

Sunday Stills – Fall Color Ochre – 10.11.20

Story Mill Community Park in Bozeman, MT in September, 2019.

The feature image is the best and only photo I have of signs of fall. It was taken last September in Bozeman, Montana. In Florida, we don’t get the change with the red, orange & yellow until January when much of the rest of… Continue Reading “Sunday Stills – Fall Color Ochre – 10.11.20”

Sunday Stills – Dry – 10.04.20

Nevada Desert outside Las Vegas at sunset.

Artist Palette is on the face of the Black Mountains in Death Valley National Park. The colors are caused by oxidation of different metals, but it looks like an artist took a paintbrush to it. Artist’s Drive is 9 miles one way with curvy roads and towering mountains on either side.

Sunday Stills – Droplets – 9.27.20

Brown Pelican taking off in the St. Johns River.

This post is in response to TERRI WEBSTER SCHRANDT Sunday Stills challenge. The theme this week is Water Droplets.

Sunday Stills – Orange

Cauldron of Fire where a skeleton is sacrificing another skeleton's head at Halloween.

Moving into Fall (my favorite season), Halloween will be here soon. Next to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday. We usually go all out and have a massive display of goons and ghouls with purple and orange lights flashing down our walkway for trick-or-treaters to scamper up the path if they dare! This year, it is not going to happen.
