It has been 2 years since we have seen a flower, but we haven’t stayed up all night to wait for one either. This one was still in full bloom by the morning 2 years ago, making it the last flower we have seen from this plant. Rare capture!
If there is standing water anywhere in Florida, fresh, salt or brackish (mix of fresh & salt), an American alligator could be lurking. Just like any wild animal, you don’t feed them and in most cases they will not bother you.
High in the elevation of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest lies this mountain side of purple wildflowers. I have no idea what this flower is called, but found it quite beautiful.
