The feature image shows concrete steps built into the Azalea Gardens at Ravines Garden State Park in Palatka, Florida.
The feature image of a Roseate Spoonbill was taken at Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge a couple of weeks ago.
The feature image was taken at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. Female elk were climbing the formations in search for heat from the thermals. Hot water was falling from the top.

Every month the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum has a Sunset/Moonrise Tour where only a few can climb the 219 step cylinder lighthouse. It is $30.00 per person and well worth going up there and having a chance to watch the sunset and the moon rise in the same night.
I visited Tree Hill Nature Center in Jacksonville, Florida about a week ago to primarily to do some birding with Frank. There were loads of birds out, the temperature was mild for a change and we were outside not sweating. Tree HIll is a nature preserve that I will write about in a future post. It is deserving to have its own spotlight and is the home to several goats, chickens, an alligator and a Barred Owl.
I wanted to give you images of the largest fountain I’ve ever seen and which is the fountain at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. We didn’t take any photos, but plenty of video. If you have never seen them, I would encourage you to make a point to see them one night if you get to Vegas. The fountains dance to whatever music they have playing. It’s free as you just stop along the sidewalk and enjoy the show at night.
If you have only recently started following my blog, I invite you to read “Living in the Moment – Old Yellowstone Trail” post dated 2/22/20. There is a color version of the Pronghorns in that post, plus a few other interesting facts about an iconic “not so traveled” road.
