This Mamma and Baby Orangutan were cozied up at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. This was taken 14 years ago. The baby looks like he was up to no good! And he was…poor Mamma got no break. The baby just wanted to climb all over Mamma and play.
Here I go again, trying to catch up on my squares. Good thing Becky has loose rules about our timing because mine for January have been horrible. This will be like rapid fire today!
So happy to be back for squares in 2021!

That’s a cute UP!
It was cute! They really are loving creatures! 🙂
Oh, that’s a lovely start to my day!
Yay! 🙂
awwww this is lovely – my favourite creatures after cats and otters 😀
Awesome! That baby was fun to watch! Poor mama! 🙂
a mother’s job is never done… 🙂
No it’s not. I guess you are feeling better??? 🙂
starting to feel better; I think it’s going to take a while to feel 100%. thanks for asking!
I’ve been saying some prayers. My sister’s family have all had Covid and starting to get a bit better. It’s been almost a month since it began for them.
thanks; glad to hear your family is doing better!
Thanks. My sister went back to work yesterday and was exhausted when she got home. It’s going to take her a bit to get to 💯 percent.
I am sure it will be a bit of an adjustment, but it’s good that she is on the road back to health…
Yes it is! She called this morning and the whole family is negative now. Took over a month to clear the household. She is feeling better today but I can still here a hint of a cough. 🙂
what great news; what a sense of relief she must have…
Yes it is awesome news. She seems to think that once she has it, she can’t get it again and that scares me. They will go back to doing what they were doing before and not taking as many precautions as they need to. My niece is going to softball practice today and its her birthday so I’m sure they will be going out to eat…etc. Ugh!
What can you say?
that is a tough situation; I think people just need to have patience for a bit longer, and then start to let their guard down…
I agree with that! But, when you have continued to live life as before, even with masks on, you are putting yourself at risk when so many other people are involved. Domino effect.
yes, caution is needed…
Cute photo, Lisa. That momma looks remarkably forbearing as most mommas with boisterous babies usually do. 🙂
That is perfectly said. That baby was a handful! 🙂
