At 5′ 1″ tall, I have to look up at everyone except kids and even some of them I have to look up to once they grow passed my height. Frank is 5′ 7″ so I don’t have to look too high up. This was our wedding almost 4 years ago in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was fun and non-pretentious. Getting married by an Elvis impersonator was perfect for us!
Our Elvis impersonator showed us a good time at our very short wedding ceremony!

What a lovely photo , our youngest son and his wife had an Elvis wedding while they were in La Vagas .. they had had a white wedding here before they went!

That is spectacular! It really is a cool thing to do. It was perfect for us. We spent all our money on the 10 day honeymoon instead of a big wedding. It was our 2nd for each of us so didn’t really need much more. 🙂

After the pandemic, I highly recommend it. It is just simple FUN! Thank you for the compliment. He found me on a dating ap over 16 years ago. We wanted to make sure it was going to last before getting hitched after 12 years. LOL!

Guess that’s long enough, right? 😂 ❤️ i also used internet to find my husband… using these apps is a great way to meet people but rearing the relationship is on us! Yours is a success! 🥂

Yeah, it was time. Finding the right one is like finding a needle in the haystack. The great part about online dating is that you don’t have to go to a smoky loud bar. Relationships that start off as a party, usually don’t last. Hence my first 18 1/2 year marriage. Too young and hard to grow up together especially when the kids came along pretty quickly. Lessons learned. 🙂

Oh — you were married for 18 1/2 years? I know long marriages can still break up but it’s different when you know someone who’d actually experienced it.. i do understand your struggles during the first marriage and i am glad you found happiness again!

During my first marriage, I stuck it out until my two oldest were 17 & 18. My youngest was 11. I couldn’t do it anymore. There hasn’t been a day go by with Frank that I thought about leaving or needing to get out. We are soul mates and completely compatible. 🙂

How fun and Happy Anniversary! My daughter and the Handsome Surveyor got married at the Taco Bell Chapel in Vegas because she’s a Taco Bell nut. He loves her and humored her. They were going to have a “real” wedding several months later, but Corona Virus came to the country, and … so we’re all waiting for the country to open up more then they’ll have their “real” wedding. 😀

Our wedding anniversary isn’t until March but in 2 days, we will have officially been together for 16 years. So it is kinda an anniversary. We actually met face to face on 1/7/05 after meeting online on a dating ap and talking for 3 weeks on the phone. We haven’t been a part since except I lived in Tampa and he lived in Jacksonville. That is super cool about getting married at the Taco Bell Chapel in Vegas. I love Elvis so Frank humored me. He enjoyed it almost as much as I did. 🙂

Our anniversary is also in March. It’s either the 27th or 28th. I can never remember which. I have to look it up or ask He-Man. I do remember it was the last Saturday of the month that year. This March will be our 40th married and 42 years together this summer.
I think The Handsome Surveyor enjoyed the wedding too, but he still wants his “real wedding” They’re hoping this year they can do it.

You can’t remember. OMG! You crack me up! Our’s is the 31st. We married on a Friday. I wanted to get married on Saturday but didn’t want to do it on April Fool’s Day. Wow! 40 years! That is incredible….congratulations! Just another one of those things we have in common for our anniversary date. 🙂

Wow, our anniversaries are so close! He-Man is not pleased that I can’t remember the date. I just remember the day.

What a fun way to have a wedding. Nice photos! 🙂
My daughter and SIL got married in Vegas, too, but at the Paris Hotel chapel.

There are literally chapels all over the city. Easy to get hitched and pretty easy to get divorced. LOL! It was perfect for us! I can’t wait to go back because the birding outside the city is excellent! 🙂

Yeah, when he gives us our marriage certificate. LOL! No…he was there one minute and gone the next. Elvis has left the building. 🙂

Wham bam, thank you mam! LOL! Well, maybe not quite like that but it was quick. The limo ride lasted longer than the ceremony and then we were taken back to Bally’s and had lunch at Bally’s Paris in the French buffet. 🙂

What a fun and lovely wedding picture! Did the “Elvis” sing you both a love song too? 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes. He sang “Hawaiian Wedding Song” when walking me down the aisle. Then we danced while he sang “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and finished with “All Shook Up”. We paid for 3 songs and I got to choose which ones. I would have loved for him to sing “Viva Las Vegas” at the end but he wasn’t very good at that one. LOL! 🙂

Thanks Terri. Our 16 year anniversary is tomorrow. Since we’ve been together. Our 4th wedding anniversary is in March. No need to rush into anything especially since it was marriage #2 for both of us. 😊 Vegas was fun. We didn’t hang around town. Too much to do on nature around Vegas. 😎

We did the same thing, Lisa. Our together anniversary will be 12 years in April and wedding anniversary in August will be #8! Our second marriage too. Enjoy your anniversary!

You are quite welcome! I loved the book! Can’t wait for the next one…when will that be, exactly? LOL! No pressure! I meant every word. It’s funny how as Paula and Cassie developed, I was thinking of Stephanie and Lulu before you even mentioned Lula and Grandma Mazur. You are a great writer! 🙂

You don’t know what a boost I needed!! Your review was like sunshine on a really grey day.
I’m struggling with the plot of the sequel, but I have hope of publishing it around Mothers Day. My characters just want to sit around and talk all day, though. I’m afraid it’s boring as hell. Must encourage them to do something!!!
Thanks again!

You got stuck before where they didn’t want to do anything in the campground. Light a fire up their ass! Mother’s Day….that’s pretty quick. Maybe you need someone to help brainstorm. You have my email and number if you want to do that. I have some ideas, but I don’t want to broadcast them here. I’ve been thinking about working on my book again too, but I’m still designing products for my shop. 🙂

😊 I might need a sounding board. I know where I want them to end up. And I like the beginning. It’s all that pesky stuff in the middle that gets me. 🤪

The pesky stuff in the middle trips up a lot of folks. I’m sure something will trigger. What would Scout tell you to do?

Scout would have said, “Just keep writing. We’ll weed out the boring stuff when we edit.” She was a very wise cat.

I think I would channel Scout’s energy because she is still with you. Am I becoming Cassie telling Paula what she needs to hear? LOL!
