500 post milestone button

I don’t typically share my milestones, but thought I would today. For my 500th blog in just over a year, I want to thank all my followers and the friends that I have made since July, 2019 for reading or pretending to read my posts.

I wasn’t even paying attention to the numbers, Jim Borden! I just saw this in my feed this morning. It is a wonderful coincidence that my 500th post was of me, Frank and Heaven (our Bichon Frise) on a weekend Thanksgiving trip to Melbourne, Florida a few years ago. Written as Kindred Spirits for Becky’s October Squares.

Even though 2020 has been a crappy year, I want to say I’m thankful for being alive, that me, Frank & none of my immediate family have contracted covid. I’m thankful to all my friends on WP because I would have had a rough 6-8 months after losing my 11 1/2 year job in March. You provided me with a platform to remain the social person that I am. It has allowed for me to be creative which I have to have to survive.

So, here is to the next 500 posts, whatever they may be!!! And closing the door to 2020, a year that will stand out in the history books!

    • Thanks Margaret! It’s doing okay for only being 5 months old. Need more traction and Etsy has had some issues during the pandemic. 😊

      • Still waiting for my operation but doing okay. The virus is ramping up on it second wave. I am tired of shielding but being sensible. How are you and yours doing? 💜💜💜

      • Tired of the mess we are in! My chiropractor was positive and I had seen him within 2 weeks. I went and got tested and I was negative. Otherwise, we are doing good. I think we will have some hiking opportunities next week so I’m excited to go birding. 🙂 We are well into our 2nd wave that hasn’t stopped long enough to get into a 3rd. As of today, we have 803K positive cases, & 240 shy of 17K deaths in Florida! Yes, not the US….in Florida. Ridiculous! But, I’m hopeful for Tuesday and the outcome of the presidential race. Frank had nightmares last night about it. Neither of us have been this stressed out over a darn election! EVER! I will keep praying for you to get your operation soon and get back to a normal life. 🙂 xoxoxo-virtually of course! LOL!

      • This Covid is a real pain, we are in a country wide second lock down from this Thursday through to 2nd December. I do hope you can go out hiking and birding because as things are going there might be a third or even a fourth wave yet. We are praying that you can get the best possible outcome… Though to me there is no real choice between Trump and Biden? I do hope things will improve for you soon. 💜💜

      • Yeah me too and the Trump supporters are coming out of the woodwork right now like the brain-washed people did for Hitler! It’s despicable! Wow! Another lock down. They wouldn’t even think about that here.

      • Yep! I got up early this morning a voted. I bundled myself up, walked a block and got in line before the doors opened. I was home within 25 minutes. Go me!!! 🙂 Now, let’s hope things swing in our favor!

      • Well, it’s looking a little better today but I think Trump will have to be taken out of the White House by force come January. Put me back in the Marine Corps!!! I’d take so much pleasure in removing him from the power trip he is on. 🙂

      • We have a new president elect! Yippee! Trump will probably have to be kicking & screaming in January! 😊 while we have record breaking numbers of positive Covid cases every day, it’s still going to be a long road to this pandemic getting under control. 😊

    • Thanks Virginia! I’d probably post more if I wasn’t trying to get my Etsy shop going! It is only because I lost my job in March because of covid that I have hit that number. I wasn’t trying to hit any number…wasn’t even paying attention to it until it popped up. WP has been a great social support group for me. 🙂

    • I’m not complaining, much! I’m just irritated with the government…period! I want to see my kids and grandkids and we are no closer than we were in March. I’ll be okay after my little temper tantrum….Whew! Okay, I’m good! LOL! 🙂

    • Hi Charles! It has been a strange year and unfortunately 2021 doesn’t look much more promising. Our covid numbers are going up and up and up! I’m posting every day and haven’t missed a day since April. Having fun with that but also spending a lot of time on my Etsy shop. A ton of time on that. Jobs are scarce so I’m all in on the business. 🙂 Glad you are okay and it’s good to hear from you. 🙂
