This week for Song Lyric Sunday, Jim Adams has prompted us with songs involving Duets. So many came to mind and I had a hard time choosing. In country music history alone, there is Conway & Loretta, Dolly & Porter, George & Tammy, John & June,Waylon & Willie and so many others.
I didn’t choose any of them. This is a little unconventional for SLS, but again, I had to be inspired. I went with a performance that I hope gives you a laugh for the day, because it brought back such great memories for me!
In 1977, Dolly Parton and Carol Burnett got together at a packed Grand Ol’ Opry to perform this skit. Keep watching to see a surprise from a little boy named Louis. There just isn’t anything on TV like this today. Enjoy!

This is great and brings back memories for me, too. Seems like just yesterday they were this young…
Seems like yesterday I was that young. 😁
I know what you mean!
This was great! I hadn’t seen it before.
Two great entertainers. Just the idea of them doing this on the Opry stage tickles me pink.
😂
Thank you for this!
You are welcome. Went with my mood yesterday. 😊
I did see this one when I was looking for a song to post. It is so funny and loved seeing these two together. 🙂
Guess our searches were similar! 😊
