On October 3, 1789, George Washington created the first Thanksgiving Day designation by the national government of the United States of America for all citizens to observe this day of thanks.

Birds fly from the front to the backyard. We have plenty of trees and great cover in the backyard with a fountain and the front yard has the feeders. This week I was able to sneak around the shrubs and get these photos.

Frank and I, plus Heaven are all one little kindred spirit. With the kids grown and doing their own thing, we will often just take off to somewhere for Thanksgiving.
