This part of Death Valley is 282 feet (85.5 meters) below sea level. We were only part of the way down towards the bottom.

Frank has my back and is my main support! This was a selfie taken in September, 2019 while visiting Yellowstone National Park at the Continental Divide. Elevation 7988 feet. It is great spending time with him out in nature!

Kinda cool sunset with the sunlight peeking through the clouds like a funnel over the desert mountains in an area outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The Joshua Tree stands in perfect contrast in the forefront.

On the 4th day of our vacation, we paddled the Yellowstone River in Montana. At one point, we had a problem with water coming into the boat. We pulled over along the river rocks, unloaded and fixed the scupper.

Hiking up the ridge about two miles from the visitors center parking lot, I heard my first coyote howl. It was like he gave everybody else permission to start singing. I have no idea how many coyotes there were that night and I never saw a single one.

The house has large vaulted ceilings in the family room and lots of tall windows that let in abundant light and picturesque views of the mountains and valley.

My birthday wish was to be right here at this moment with my sweet husband watching the sun set over the mountains and drinking hot chocolate. I like cake, but this was going to be a non-traditional birthday to remember.

String Lake is a beautiful little stretch of water located between Jenny Lake and Leigh Lake. All three lakes are connected and then flow into Jackson Lake where we had planned to spend sunset.
