Jen Goldie is a diehard Toronto Blue Jays Fan….I’m a diehard Tampa Bay Rays fan! She put this post together last night and I want to give her kudos for doing that! Game 1 is only a few minutes away and it will be interesting to see what the outcome will be!
Because of COVID and a shortened baseball season, there are 8 teams in the wildcard series in both the American League and National League. Each pairing will have a 3 game series in the Wild Card Series starting today!

That is usually the Rays and they started too as they got closer to clinching but they reeled it back in and won the division. Hoping they can hold on and beat the Blue Jays in the first round of playoffs. 🙂

Yay!!! They are leading 7-1 right now in game 2 but I’m still concerned. I’ve been a fan from the beginning. Since they were the Devil Rays. I lived in Tampa back then. We were Braves fans when my kids were little but when Tampa got a MLB team, that was it for me. 😊

I know the Phillies have spring training in Clearwater and the Orioles have it in Sarasota. I’ve never been to a Spring training game, but it is on my bucket list…

That would be awesome if you came down for that. I’m sure you know I wrote a book on Clearwater??? Since there is only a couple of hours separating those cities, I would try to do them both. I say a couple of hours loosely depending on traffic.

Houston doesn’t have Cole who just pitched for the Yankees and Verlander is out for the season. That was their 2 big guns. Maybe they are still stealing signs. At least they can’t read lips with all the masks. 😂

I love that movie too. All-star cast! Last night was a bummer but Frank & I think the MLB commissioner told the umpire…close for the Astros, not close for the Rays. The strike zone last night was not equal for both sides. I think they needed to extend this playoff. Didn’t help that Kiermeier didn’t play. Today is a new day though! 🙂

I heard them talking about Umpires and strike zones. They said it might be a good idea to use electronic equipment to monitor the pitch instead of relying on a possibly biased Umpire. Why not everything else is.
