Kayaking paddles in the foreground with the mountains in the background near Emigrant, Montana along the Yellowstone River.

Last September we took an epic trip to Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. On the 4th day of our vacation, we paddled the Yellowstone River in Montana in our inflatable Sea Eagle kayak that we brought with us on the trip. At one point, we had a problem with water coming into the boat. We pulled over along the river rocks, unloaded and fixed the scupper. Loaded back up and away we went. But before we did, I took this shot of us being stranded in a beautiful natural environment.

Yes it is! Travelling this week for a day or two to see my sister (no hugs allowed) as she is in Florida right now and I haven’t seen her & her family in over 2 years.

it’s fun to go back to a place that you are already familiar with and relive some of the memories as well as make new ones…

Yes it is! Frank was looking at the weather in Yellowstone today and it it is in the high 70’s and low 40’s at night. I told him we were in the wrong place and the wrong time right now. 🙂

We didn’t camp though. Stayed at a B&B that was on the Yellowstone River. We were able to pull our boat at on their property when we finished the paddle. It was the best of all worlds. 😊

I was just going to say, that sounds like the best of both worlds. I’ll take a B&B over camping any day of the week…
