An American Thanksgiving

On October 3, 1789, George Washington created the first Thanksgiving Day designation by the national government of the United States of America for all citizens to observe this day of thanks.

Sunday Stills – Auburn – 11.15.20

Auburn is a color between red and brown. It can be dark to light with gradients in between. Today I have given you sunsets, birds, an insect, a gator, rock formations in Arizona and a fall classic.

Sunday Stills – Leaves – 11.01.20

Birds fly from the front to the backyard. We have plenty of trees and great cover in the backyard with a fountain and the front yard has the feeders. This week I was able to sneak around the shrubs and get these photos.

SQUARES – The Spooky Kind

This is Frank as the Bone Collector and definitely the Spooky Kind!

SQUARES – The Edible Kind

This week on Bird Weekly, we explored Owls. On that post at the end, I posted a photo of these Owl cookies that I made 5 years ago for my Bunco friends when I hosted the game in December, 2015. They turned out exactly like the instructions.

Sunday Stills – Orange

Cauldron of Fire where a skeleton is sacrificing another skeleton's head at Halloween.

Moving into Fall (my favorite season), Halloween will be here soon. Next to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday. We usually go all out and have a massive display of goons and ghouls with purple and orange lights flashing down our walkway for trick-or-treaters to scamper up the path if they dare! This year, it is not going to happen.

SQUARES – PERSPECTIVE – 4TH OF JULY

Today is July 4, 2020. A day that we celebrate the Independence of the United States of America. You know, as each day goes by, we are living in the nightmare of COVID-19, social distancing, racial inequalities, job losses and a failing economy. I began soul searching for what our country could be. We are the United States of America, not the Divided States of America. Liberty and Justice for all…not just a few!

Sunday Stills – #Waterworld

No Lifeguard on Duty, Swim at Own Risk Sign on the boardwalk.

Since I live in Florida and our state parks have opened back up, I thought I would share my photos from yesterday’s beach fun at Little Talbot Island State Park. They are open at a 50% capacity which has been reaching maximum capacity by 10am on the weekends.

FOTD – Happy Mother’s Day

I would like to extend a wonderful Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there who sacrifice so much for their children. I want to say Happy Mother’s Day to Frank’s mom and my mom who are looking down on us from Heaven.… Continue Reading “FOTD – Happy Mother’s Day”

Rants, humor, sarcasm, and a haiku-like substance? It's hard to know what's going to come out of our minds next.
