Sunday Stills – Orange

Cauldron of Fire where a skeleton is sacrificing another skeleton's head at Halloween.

Moving into Fall (my favorite season), Halloween will be here soon. Next to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday. We usually go all out and have a massive display of goons and ghouls with purple and orange lights flashing down our walkway for trick-or-treaters to scamper up the path if they dare! This year, it is not going to happen.

SQUARES – PERSPECTIVE – 4TH OF JULY

Today is July 4, 2020. A day that we celebrate the Independence of the United States of America. You know, as each day goes by, we are living in the nightmare of COVID-19, social distancing, racial inequalities, job losses and a failing economy. I began soul searching for what our country could be. We are the United States of America, not the Divided States of America. Liberty and Justice for all…not just a few!

Sunday Stills – #Waterworld

No Lifeguard on Duty, Swim at Own Risk Sign on the boardwalk.

Since I live in Florida and our state parks have opened back up, I thought I would share my photos from yesterday’s beach fun at Little Talbot Island State Park. They are open at a 50% capacity which has been reaching maximum capacity by 10am on the weekends.

Greensleeves vs. What Child is This – The Tale of 2 Songs – SLS

This week for Song Lyric Sunday, Jim Adams has prompted us with songs dealing with Christmas/Holiday/Snowman in the title or in the song. Bet you thought I was going to give you more Elvis. I have to admit, I thought about it. Frank &… Continue Reading “Greensleeves vs. What Child is This – The Tale of 2 Songs – SLS”

Halloween – A Neighborhood Haunting

All of the holidays are special times for us and Halloween is no exception. Anytime we can access our inner child, we jump at the chance. Frank & I worked hard on the house decor the weekend before Halloween, however a torrential storm came… Continue Reading “Halloween – A Neighborhood Haunting”

Why I Love Halloween

My 2 favorite holidays are Halloween & Christmas. I love Halloween because for one day out of the year, I get to be something I’m not. The year that Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows book came out, I was Harry Potter. Pulled it… Continue Reading “Why I Love Halloween”
