CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO CHALLENGE – Backs of Things

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge

Kaela climbing a rock wall.

In Tampa, Florida, my daughter, Kaela was climbing a rock wall at the Florida State Fair with Flat Stanley on her back. Flat Stanley was sent to us by my nephew in Texas. We had Flat Stanley for 2 weeks and took him on all sorts of adventures. c.2006. “Flat Stanley” is a children’s book by Jeff Brown that began as a bedtime story for his sons which recounts the adventures of Stanley Lambchop after he is squashed flat by a bulletin board while sleeping. It was originally published in 1964. In 1995, Dale Hubert, a third grade school teacher in London, Ontario, Canada began “The Flat Stanley Project” which was designed to improve reading & writing skills in elementary school students. More about that project here and the reason we got lucky enough to take him on some of our adventures.

I remember Flat Stanley, I used to read his stories to my kids, I think there is a cartoon too! Black and white photos are always stunning!

It is one of my favorite challenges! My daughter was like, β€œI can’t believed you put those pics up”. She is almost 28 now. 😊

That is awesome! This was the one and only time we had him while the kids were little.
