We are about an hour from the entrance. It is on the list of regular parks we frequent. Just waiting on some cooler weather to go back.

What a treat! Iโ€™d wait on the weather too, lol. That midday Southern heat can be stultifying. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes mam! Not to mention the bugs! The bugs would eat us alive or chase us out after they have snacked on us! ๐Ÿ™‚

Just sad to think about how it became that way though. At least what it becomes is quite beautiful. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful walk way and sitting area. My favorite is the dead tree “growing” out of the sand with the blue sky.

Thank you so much! It is a beautiful site, but it unfortunately is also sad. We are losing so much land to erosion year after year. The salt water continues to encroach upon centuries old vegetation. ๐Ÿ™‚ I suspect within 10-20 years, the coastline will be where the highway is right now if we don’t do something about climate change and because of a man-made breakwater built for the wealthy people on Amelia Island, the storms have ravished our State Parks. Ugh! ๐Ÿ™‚
