August 28 – BOTD – Green Heron

Green Heron

Here is my entry for Granny Shot It’s  Bird of the Day (BOTD) challenge.

The Green Heron is a small heron compared to other birds in this family. It is close to the size of an American Crow. They can be elusive, but if you look closely when near a marshy area, you might pick one out. Others, like this one wasn’t shy at all. Posed…fished….pruned….posed….fished…pruned. If you get to observe this bird in the wild, you will see them fishing for minnows, crustaceans, insects, frogs & tadpoles. Their behavior is so slick!
