Bird Weekly Round-Up – Week #33

Never assume anything when you see birds on a wire. If you have your binoculars in hand, check them out. They are not always the common blackbird, starling or dove.

Water Water Everywhere #62 – Sanderling

A stroll on the beach at Little Talbot Island State Park in Jacksonville, Florida

Yellow-rumped Warbler who thinks he’s the boss of the feeders.

SQUARES – Washed Up

These photos were taken in 2006 at Little Talbot Island State Park where the skeleton of a 19th century ship washed up on shore exposing the remnants of a wood hull and steel ribs that once held it together.

SQUARES – Up Above Sea Level

This part of Death Valley is 282 feet (85.5 meters) below sea level. We were only part of the way down towards the bottom.

SQUARES – Super Fast

This is a Western Chipmunk found in the western part of North America. They eat vegetation, fungi, insects, arthropods, small frogs, worms and bird eggs. Occasionally, they will eat newly hatched birds.

SQUARES – 3 Fingers Up

These two characters were found in the Sonoran Desert not far from White Tank Mountain Park.

SQUARES – Up On The Bridge

This was my daughter about 14 years ago while on a hike. Kaela was crossing the bridge and her rosy cheeks were a telltale sign as to it being cold

Bird Weekly – Photo Challenge – Birds on a Wire or a Fence

Week #33 challenge is Birds on a wire or fence. I will accept on a railing or dock too.
