Into Battle

Tracking through the woods
Darkness, silence impedes, I stood
To shake the gloom of the mood
I move forward, regardless.
Is it a secret trap ahead
Temptation, still I'm led
Masses lay there bled and dead
Salvation will have to wait.
Press forward towards the end
In haste, plunge around the bend
Face the enemy, you defend
Your life is spared one more time.
