Bird Weekly Round-Up – Week #36

Week #36 challenge was all about the Hawks.

Disclaimer: If anyone has an issue with me using their photos in the round ups, please kindly let me know. I haven’t had anyone say anything, but I don’t want you to think I’m using your photographs for personal gain. I’m here to show what great work you are doing with your photography by showing you off in these posts.

Week #36 of Bird Weekly proved to be a difficult week showcasing hawks. One of the hardest hawks to identify is the Cooper’s Hawk vs. the Sharp-shinned Hawk. They look the same, however the Sharp-shinned Hawk is 11 inches (28 cm) and the Cooper’s Hawk is 16.5 inches (42 cm). Size matters when identifying these two particular birds.
