Bird Weekly Round-Up – Week #13

Week #13 challenge was Domesticated Birds. There were some great photos of birds that have been domesticated by man. Some of those birds are free to roam like pigeons and geese. They hang around our parks looking for a handout. Some species like the white geese will become aggressive if you feed them. On more than one occasion, this has happened to us. The Florida State Fair Authority in Tampa had to have them removed from the grounds because they were attacking people getting out of their cars at the Administrative Building. The Florida Fish & Wildlife relocated them to a different location. It happened again when a few of them made our pond a home behind our house. They started chasing us out of our own yard when going to the car. Literally leaving the pond in the backyard and chasing us in the front yard.

Maybe, this is where they were relocated??? ๐Ÿ™‚ This was my house when I lived in Tampa. Not my house today in Jacksonville.

This week we saw chickens and roosters, cockadoodledoo! Hawks, ducks, and even some juvenile white geese like those above. Parrots, Cockatoos, Parakeets, a Turkey & a Peacock made appearances!

I encourage you to visit their blogs and see what amazing things they have going on. If I missed your post or there was a problem with a pingback, please let me know and I will be glad to add you to the list. Remember to pingback from my post of that week and not my page. Liking my page is encouraged!
