      birds are certainly smarter than most people give them credit for. They have feelings too. Frank accidently cut a branch off a tree that was going to break and hit the house. He didn’t know it, but it had a nest with baby doves. The mother hung out in that tree for 5 days looking for her babies, distraught and the noise coming out of her was heartbreaking. We took the babies to the animal hospital where they were well taken care of until they fledged.

        Yes, I believe all animals are capable of feelings. Most people tend to ignore such feelings…

        Not me. That’s why I could never be a hunter. I’ll shoot a deer with my camera but not a gun. I understand others doing it, but it’s just not something I can do. 😊

        I don’t get it either, for myself or others. It’s part of why I became a vegan 13 years ago…

        I eat mostly vegetarian, but not totally. I will eat a burger once a month, no hormones or antibiotics, fish obviously and bacon. But I can’t stomach chicken or any other pork and no wild game.
