SQUARES – Perspective – Okefenokee Boardwalk

In April, we visited the Okefenokee Wildlife Management park in Georgia several times. The outside temperature was perfect and it is only a 1 hour drive from our house. I originally took these photos for Square Tops, but didn’t use them. They seem so much more appropriate for July Squares, Perspective.

It rained on us the entire hike out to the tower, but had stopped on our way back. There was no one in the parking lot when we arrived. We got up at 5:30 am so we could get our hike in before other people showed up so we could maintain social distancing.

The Chesser Island Boardwalk is 3/4 of mile long and dead-ends at the 4 story tower.

There were a few waders in the wetlands, but not a lot of birds out on this day. Just below where Frank stood, on the tree branches to his right side, was a Carolina Wren just singing up a storm.

      Oh it is! Another little hidden treasure not far from our house. There are all kinds of trails besides the boardwalk too. 🙂

      It was a great place to be in the spring. Now it’s too hot! We will head back there when it cools off. The whole 3/4 of a mile is boardwalk. Pretty amazing! 🙂

      I like the wren too. It was loud. If I had a better angle, I would have shot video but it was awkward with my camera and not steady. 🙂
