Once when I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, me and a few of the guys took a trip down to Tijuana. It was safer to drink the tequila than it was to drink the water, so we indulged except for the one driving.
To hear only the sounds of nature and feel the movement of the water under you, makes you part of our natural world. It cleanses the soul and fills your spirit with a renewed sense of purpose. A purpose larger than anything you could possibly do at work or home while doing your daily tasks.
