Here is my entry for Granny Shot It’s Bird of the Day (BOTD) challenge.
The Snowy Egret is a smaller white egret compared to the Great Egret. It is distinct by its black legs & bright yellow feet. This egret moves with grace when stalking its next meal. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will see them 1/2 fly & 1/2 run across the water. What a site!
Their plumage flares in a beautiful array which caused The Snowy Egret to be near extinction in the early part of the twentieth century. Wealthy people paid big bucks to adorn their hats with the beautiful feathers.
Again, thanks to the Endangered Species Act, the Snowy Egret has made a comeback and has provided all bird & nature lovers with God’s creation.

Thank you. My hubby took this one. We must have taken over 400 pics that day between the 2 of us.
