Pet Peeves – What is yours?

Toilet Paper Roll – Up and Over

My number one….numero uno….biggest pet peeve of all time is the toilet paper roll. Up and over baby! I understand that cat owners have to go the down & under method for obvious reasons. I certainly understand that. That’s one of the reasons I don’t have a cat. Don’t get me wrong, I love all animals, but I’m allergic to cats & dogs. My dog is hypo-allergenic so I’m able to be around her and….. as an added bonus, she doesn’t mess with the toilet paper.

My obsession about the toilet paper being in the correct direction finds me changing the roll if I have the opportunity from the down & under position to up & over. While I appreciate the person before me loading it up and not leaving me stranded with no toilet paper, (another discussion for another day), it equally burns my ass (pun intended) that I have to fix it by flipping the roll! GUILTY!!!

What is your pet peeve?

  • Family leaving “God knows what” in their pockets for you to find before laundry day?
  • People smacking their gum around you?
  • How about someone who eats with their mouth open & still tries to talk?
  • Those who are always late so you have to set your party time an hour early to ensure they are there on time?
  • Telemarketers?
  • Drivers texting while driving?
  • Selfie Queens?
  • Screaming kid on a long flight?

I know…I know….there are so many, but I’d love to hear from you on your thoughts and what “peeves you off”. Please share as this is a serious subject. LoL

  1. 1. People who smoke in public places.
    2. People who don’t switch off lights, fans, etc when they are leaving the room
    3. People who literally come charging at others when they are boarding a bus/metro coaches.
    4. People who tell me I should use “simpler” words in my stories such that even a kindergartener should understand.

      • Since I live in an apartment and must share laundry facilities, one peeve would be that some people don’t clean the lint catching tray. But that’s not nearly as bad as issues we’ve had in the past–people left their clothes in the machines (and there’s only one washer and dryer for 11 units); and there was the nightmare of someone tossing their syringe in the washer after shooting up heroin…but they’re gone now. And there’s the neighbor’s boyfriend who parks his truck underneath my window (upstairs)–I leave the windows open a couple inches all year long, and his gas fumes fill up my rooms. I’m on a roll tonight, sorry 🙂
